No Frills, No Trends

An Old-School Gym in Malta

Most gyms that have opened in Malta over the last decade chase the same look: bright boutique studios, curated playlists, Instagram corners. Bertu's doesn't. It was built in 1982 by a Maltese boxing champion as a proper training ground, and it has kept that character ever since.

The training floor still runs on vintage iron plates and plate-loaded machines alongside a full boxing ring and heavy bags. In the decades since it opened, the athletes who trained here have gone on to represent Malta on the international stage. If you want a gym built for lifting and fighting rather than for looking good in photos, this is it.

Read the full story on the Heritage page, or see everything on the training floor.

“No1 gym in Malta we're everyone feels like home in here great staff & great owner bertu. We are like family here we help eachother & respect each other. Never to late to try this gym.”
