Malta's Youth Fitness Scheme
Free Gym Membership for 16-21 Year Olds
Malta's Youth Fitness Support Scheme gives every teenager and young adult a free six-month gym membership, with no income or means test. It's run by the government in partnership with registered gyms across Malta and Gozo.
Bertu's Gym is one of those participating gyms. Apply online through the official government portal, get your QR code, and bring it to our front desk in Ħal Għargħur to redeem your six months of training.
Once it's redeemed, it works like any other membership here: full access to the main gym floor, the free weights and plate-loaded machines, and the boxing ring and heavy bags. See the full membership options for what comes after your six months are up.
How It Works
- 1. Apply on youthfitness.gov.mt with your ID.
- 2. Receive your QR code confirming eligibility.
- 3. Bring it to Bertu's front desk to redeem your six months.
Apply on the official government portal, then bring your QR code to redeem your membership at Bertu's.
Exact eligibility (birth years and application windows) is set by the government and can change year to year, so check youthfitness.gov.mt for the current rules before applying.
